CSMS # 61675882 - Update for Rail Electronic Export Manifest Pilot Participants U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent this bulletin at 08/06/2024 08:59 AM EDT Cargo Systems Messaging Service CSMS # 61675882 - Update for Rail Electronic Export Manifest Pilot Participants O n August 10, 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will deploy enhancements to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) to v alidate the Facilities Information and Resource Management System (FIRMS) codes for in-bond arrivals, excluding arrivals by air (see information notice ) . Following this deployment , ACE will verify that the FIRMS code is provided, valid, active, and is within the in-bond arrival port . As previously communicated to Rail EEM pilot participants, w hen in - bond types 62 and 70 are manifest ed on the E lectronic E xport M anifest (EEM) train consist , t he 353 Departure message must contain the FIRMS code to comply with th e new validation . To ensure compliance , EEM has created two new validations that are available for testing in the Certification software environment : 157 – FIRMS Code Required 158 – Invalid FIRMS C ode M1501 Notification Entity Qualifier value must be “X” for Enroute . M1517 Location Identifier must contain FIRMS code for in - bond location.
