CSMS # 61535739 - Drawback: Accelerated Payment (AP) Availability for USMCA Drawback Claims U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent this bulletin at 07/26/2024 09:30 AM EDT Cargo Systems Messaging Service CSMS # 61535739 - Drawback: Accelerated Payment (AP) Availability for USMCA Drawback Claims This message is an update to CSMS # 45792120 , Delay of Accelerated Payment (AP) for USMCA Drawback Claims , from January 22, 2021. Accelerated Payment (AP) will become available for all USMCA drawback claims in late August 2024. CBP will issue a confirmation CSMS after the requisite programing is deployed in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). Once the requisite ACE programming is complete, claimants approved for AP may request AP for prospective eligible USMCA drawback claims provided all applicable requirements are met to include the requisite bonding. To request AP for eligible unliquidated claims currently on file with CBP, claimants will need to contact the filing office directly and request the claim be returned to trade control, after which the claimant will be required to resubmit the claim with the AP request.
