CSMS # 55439475 - Deadline Extension: CBP Form 1302A Cargo Declaration – Outbound with Commercial Form Will No Longer be Accepted in Document Image System (DIS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent this bulletin at 03/10/2023 02:25 PM EST Cargo Systems Messaging Service CSMS # 55439475 - Deadline Extension: CBP Form 1302A Cargo Declaration – Outbound with Commercial Form Will No Longer be Accepted in Document Image System (DIS) Update to CSMS 53345177 Due to increased participation by the Vessel Operators (VO), Non-Vessel Operators (NVOs) and software vendors communities to submit Electronic Export Manifest (EEM). CBP is extending the deadline from April 1, 2023, to October 1, 2023. This extension is intended to provide additional time for effected trade participants to adequately program and test with their assigned CBP Client Representatives. Trade participants currently programming, and testing should work towards transitioning over to submitting 100% EEM prior to October 1, 2023. Submitting the CBP Form 1302A will no longer be required in paper or to DIS once the carrier(s) are submitting 100% EEM. CBP staff can direct interested carriers, NVOs and Service Providers to contact their respective CBP Client Representative for instructions.
