1. On 03/26/2015 (80 FR 15987), Commerce published in the Federal Register its amended preliminary determination in the antidumping duty investigation of certain passenger vehicle and light truck tires from the People's Republic of China (PRC). See message 5093302, 04/03/2015. 2. Title 19 U.S.C. 1520(a)(4) authorizes refunds prior to liquidation whenever an importer of record declares or it is ascertained that excess duties, fees, charges, or exactions have been deposited or paid. The refund amount will be calculated by determining the difference between the amount of cash deposits paid as a result of the application of the preliminary cash deposit rate and the amount due paid as a result of the application of the amended preliminary cash deposit rate. 3. Listed below in paragraphs 5 and 6 are the cash deposit rates that were assigned to certain firms in the preliminary cash deposit instruction (message 5043310, 02/12/2015). In addition, listed below is the cash deposit rates assigned to those firms in the amended preliminary cash deposit instruction (see message 5093302, 04/03/2015). 4. In accordance with 19 U.S.C. 1520(a)(4), CBP is authorized to grant a refund, if requested by the importer, of cash deposits for entries of certain passenger vehicle and light truck tires from the PRC from the exporter/producer combination listed below which were entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption during the period 01/27/2015 through 03/25/2015.
