CSMS #48631253 - Drawback: Accelerated Payment (AP) Continuous Bonding Policy Programming Update U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent this bulletin at 06/29/2021 02:17 PM EDT Cargo Systems Messaging Service CSMS #48631253 - Drawback: Accelerated Payment (AP) Continuous Bonding Policy Programming Update As referenced in CSMS message #48380692, CBP has updated and deployed ACE programming to allow AP to be secured by a sufficient and valid 1A continuous bond provided the bond’s effective date is on or before the AP request date. Claimants desiring to receive AP for an eligible unliquidated, non-accelerated claim on file must contact the appropriate filing office and request the claim be returned to trade control, and then retransmit the claim with the AP request. In order to be eligible to receive AP, claimants must have approved AP privileges for their filing provision; the payment must be secured by a valid and sufficient 1A bond; and all other Customs regulatory requirements must be met.
