FWS is in the process of formulating regulations requiring the utilization of ACE to submit import data for FWS regulated commodities, and expects enforcement of mandatory submission in ACE to take effect in January 2021 . A future CSMS message will announce the specific date of mandatory filing. All filers currently have the option to file FWS data when filing in ACE. For those filers who are ready to file the FWS Message Set data in ACE, it is recommended that they do so. As a reminder, FWS and the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (NCBFFA) recorded an informational webinar on the FWS Message Set.
