CSMS #41981999 - GUIDANCE: Section 232 Active Steel and Aluminum Product Exclusions on CBP.gov U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent this bulletin at 03/11/2020 02:07 PM EDT Cargo Systems Messaging Service CSMS #41981999 - GUIDANCE: Section 232 Active Steel and Aluminum Product Exclusions on CBP.gov BACKGROUND: The U.S. Department of Commerce approves Section 232 exclusion requests in accordance with Presidential Proclamations 9704 and 9705 (See 83 FR 12106), and posts the approved exclusions on https://232app.azurewebsites.net/steelalum . CBP then activates approved Section 232 product exclusion identifiers (PEIs) in ACE. CBP updates the active PEIs in ACE on a weekly basis to reflect any additions of newly approved PEIs as well as deletions of expired or fully used PEIs. GUIDANCE: In order to provide an information resource to internal and external stakeholders, CBP will begin publishing the active Section 232 exclusion numbers on the Section 232 Trade Remedy on CBP.gov on a weekly basis. Public access to this list will allow CBP and the trade to verify current active PEIs. See Active PEIs .
